While there are a large number of footwear manufacturers spread through the length and breadth of the country, there are some of the manufacturers who are considered as pioneers in the shoe manufacturing industry. However, one of the pioneers in the footwear industries is well known and reputed manufacturers are Bata shoes and Liberty Shoes.

 

Although, Bata shoes has been one of the earliest manufacturers that emerged after the independence of the country, Liberty shoes have distinguished themselves as one of the most upcoming manufacturers of shoes of all types in the country. Apart from manufacturing of footwear indigenously, there are several franchises of imported shoes, such as, Adidas shoes and Puma shoes India who have become one of the favorite shoes that has become the most preferred shoes amongst the populace of the country especially the elite and the younger set of people.
